STAR-Dundee has developed a range of SpaceFibre test and development equipment.
STAR-Ultra PCIe
The STAR-Ultra PCIe is a SpaceFibre Multi-Lane interface and link analyser, designed to aid test and development of SpaceFibre equipment. It can transmit and receive SpaceFibre traffic from a host PC at data rates in excess of 10 Gbit/s; and it can record and display SpaceFibre traffic transmitted and received on one SpaceFibre port.
The STAR-Ultra PCIe is controlled by a host PC, connected by an eight-lane Gen 3 PCIe interface, and has two quad-lane SpaceFibre interfaces. Each lane can operate at a data signalling rate of up to 6.25 Gbit/s, resulting in a maximum link speed of 25 Gbit/s.

STAR Fire Mk3
The STAR-Fire Mk3 unit has two SpaceWire and two SpaceFibre interfaces. The SpaceFibre interfaces each have eight virtual channels, two connected to an internal SpaceWire router and the other six connected to internal high-speed packet generators/checkers. The STAR Fire unit can operate as a high-speed data source (packet generator), a high-speed data sink (packet checker), a SpaceWire to SpaceFibre bridge (for two SpaceWire ports and also a USB 3.0 port), and as a SpaceFibre link analyser.

SpaceWire and SpaceFibre FMC Board
The STAR-Dundee SpaceWire and SpaceFibre FMC board is an FMC board that provides 4 buffered SpaceWire ports and two SpaceFibre ports to a host FPGA development board. It works with a number of FPGA development kits, including:
- The Microsemi RTG4 Development board (HPC1 & HPC2) to enable design of SpaceWire and SpaceFibre using the RTG4
- SmartFusion2 Adv Dev Kit – HPC and LPC
- Xilinx Kintex-7, Virtex-7 and Zynq development boards including but not exclusive to the KC705, VC707/VC709 and ZC702 evaluation kits
- Xilinx Ultrascale, Ultrascale+ and Zynq Ultrascale+ development cards including but not exclusive to KCU105 and ZCU102

SpaceFibre Interface FMC Board
The SpaceFibre Interface FMC Board provides an easy way to connect a dual-lane SpaceFibre interface to a host system with the FMC Board handling the SpaceFibre electrical interfaces and SpaceFibre IP core. This board allows users to add a SpaceFibre Dual-Lane link to their system operating a speeds of up to 6.25 Gbit/s (2 × 3.125 Gbit/s). Eight Virtual Channels VC0–VC7 and the Broadcast Interface (BC) are supported with a streaming AXI4-style interface to the host. An SPI slave supports advanced configuration and status.

SpaceWire to SpaceFibre Bridge
The STAR-Dundee SpaceWire to SpaceFibre Bridge device connects 10 SpaceWire ports to a pair of SpaceFibre interfaces.

SpaceFibre Routing Switch
The STAR-Dundee SpaceFibre Routing Switch is a 3U cPCI/PXI board that incorporates a SpaceFibre router with eight SpaceFibre ports (ports 1-8) each with up to 8 Virtual Channels, four SpaceWire ports (ports 9-12), and a configuration, control and status port (port 0).
